VEGF145 is an isomer of VEGF-A gene produced by variable splicing. It lacks exon 6 coding residue and retains exon 7 sequence.The human VEGF-A gene is organized in eight exons separated by seven introns and is located on chromosome 6p21.1. The coding region spans approximately 14 kb. Alternative exon splicing results in the generation of four isoforms.The four isoforms are referred to as VEGF121, VEGF165, VEGF189, and VEGF206. Less frequent splice variants, including VEGF145, VEGF183, VEGF121b, VEGF145b,VEGF165b, and VEGF189b.VEGF145 is secreted.VEGF145 has a key role during the vascularization of the human ovarian follicle and corpus luteum, in the placentation and embryonic periods, and in bone and wound healing| Typical data
